ROLAND M-DC1, M-VS1, M-SE1, M-OC1

Sound Expansion series - Released in 1995

For some reason I had four of Roland's Sound Expansion series modules sitting in my rack for a while. I never really used them in my music, except the orchestra module a couple of times.

These 1 unit rack modules were based on the SR-JV expansion cards for the popular Roland JV-1080. The interface didn't offer any means to program the sounds, which was possible only via MIDI sysex, I believe.

The modules I had were:

Dance, M-DC1
Vintage Synth, M-VS1
String Ensemble, M-SE1
Orchestral, M-OC1

There were two other modules as well:

Bass & Drums, M-BD1
GS MIDI Module, M-GS64
